Big Hole National Battlefield

One of the many fires on the way back
to Missoula
This trip began as a quest to climb
Trapper Peak in the Bitterroot but due
to fire and smoke we opted to spend
the day in the Big Hole Valley which
was clear at the time.
The skeletons of the original camp
have been reproduced at the original
site. Chief Joseph's camp to the left.
The sun still high in the sky on the way
back to Missoula.
